Vanha Krappala offers guests an opportunity to experience the essence of Finland, where life is closely connected to nature and guided by long-held traditions.
Through sauna rituals, forest paths, seasonal food, and the quiet presence of the river, visitors are welcomed into a slower, more mindful way of living.
The estate is located in the countryside of Southwest Finland.
The house stands on foundations dating back to the late 18th century. The house was built by the Swedish Crown, and later became a farm when the Krappala family moved in.
For generations, the farm was home to fields, horses, cows, and chickens. Today, the old barn has been given a new life as a space for movement and creativity.
Vanha Krappala has been led by women for several generations. The tradition continues today, as the guest house and its activities are run by the seventh and eighth generations of the Krappala family.
